To Make the Chocolate Sauce: Using a double boiler, heat chocolate chunks, oil, salt, vanilla, and Açaí pack. You might need to add a little extra oil, but keep stirring constantly so nothing burns.

How To Make the Bananas: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and get your frozen bananas from the freezer. You can either roll them in chocolate or spread the warm chocolate sauce on them with a knife. Once they’re dipped in chocolate (and it hasn’t hardened yet!), add your toppings and then put back in the freezer to harden. Let freeze for at least an hour. You could totally put them on popsicle sticks, too. Just freeze them on sticks first.

What is Açaí and Where Does It Come From?

Açaí berries are found on the palm trees of the Amazonian rainforest and have historically been a staple of indigenous diets. This nutritional powerhouse is deep purple in color and tastes like a unique mix of mixed berries, dark chocolate, and red wine. Açaí has high levels of antioxidants and healthy omegas.

The Açaí berry itself has a short shelf life, so it is most commonly imported to the U.S. in the form of frozen purée or juice. SAMBAZON created a responsibly managed supply chain of Certified Organic and Fair Trade Açaí that established a direct connection between farmers and consumers. This process ensures that the product is the highest quality on the market while also being ethically sourced, transported, and processed.

What is So Great About Açaí?

Açaí is high in antioxidants and fiber, low in sugar, and packed full of healthy Omegas 3, 6, and 9. All of these nutrients come together to boost your body’s defenses. Incorporating foods into your diet that are high in fiber can reduce your risk of heart disease, according to the FDA.

Delicious Taste

Açaí has a distinctly exotic flavor that is popular because it is more savory than other berries. This has made it a popular base for smoothies and bowls as it can adapt to any flavor palate. Say goodbye to bland options and hello to this exquisite flavor!

Can be Eaten in a Variety of Ways

It is no easy task to come up with a variety of ideas for tasty, yet nutritious meals.

Açaí is the perfect ingredient to add to  your diet because of the versatility it provides. An Açaí bowl or smoothie never gets boring and can be adjusted every day based on your needs or cravings.
